Pocket Electronic Dictionary (PED) and Monolingual

The dictionary is necessary for students. Nowadays, there are many types of dictionary such as Pocket Electronic Dictionary (PED) and Monolingual English Dictionary (MED), they are good. However, it depends on the purpose and the preference of users.
There are many qualification of PED. For example, it's easy to use and convenient to carry. You can listen to the computer sound if you don’t know how to pronounce. For some versions, it can perform cross search and increase vocabulary but there are some weak points of PED such as they use old databases .
The other choice is MED, it has the examples provided and information on use (British vs. American, written vs. spoken). It gives translation and explanation of a word which make you understand. Moreover, it's more correct than PED. However, MED can’t increase the vocabulary.
In conclusion, Pocket Electronic Dictionary (PED) and Monolingual English Dictionary (MED) are useful in different way but PED has more advantage than MED. Therefore, PED is better than MED. In your opinion, what do you choose to use?

I think it's necessary for people who have to go abroad for siminar or training but weak in english conversation. it's good for them to practice. in my opinion,i think i choose to use ped because i've never known about med.

Today,the english language is widely use so we should have some dictionary on my own.To me,I will choose Pocket Electronic Dictionary (PED) one because i make me easy to carry it in everywhere.But MED have benefit itself for someone like it.For I like a dictionary that give the sentence and grammar but easy to carry.

Sometimes, it very convinient to look for unknow word because it's just a moment; only type then click enter. Somehow I don't like to use ped at all because I ever found the wrong translation so many time too. Now I prefer to use hand-open-english-english-dictionary to electronic dictionary.
